Celebrating 15 years of performing the music of Pink Floyd, El Monstero is the ultimate holiday gift for music lovers in St. Louis.  El Monstero features the “best of the best” of the St. Louis music scene including lead singer Mark Thomas Quinn (of Joe Dirt), guitarist Jimmy Griffin (of the Incurables, Walkie Talkie U.S.A. and other bands), guitarist Bryan Greene (of the Wyld Stallyns), bassist Kevin Gagnepain (of Stir, Shooting With Annie and Joe Dirt), John Pessoni (of Stir, the Urge and Joe Dirt), and keyboardists Bill Reiter (of the Urge) and Jake Elking (of Buz); along with saxophonist Dave Farver (of Superjam) and standout backup vocalists Ermine Cannon, Tandra Williams and Melinda (Mindy) Mierek.

El Monstero’s first appearance was a single night, sold out show at Mississippi Nights in 1999.  Now, the show spans several nights at The Pageant and has developed a massive loyal fan base.
Due to increasing popularity, El Monstero now performs an outdoor show each summer and several out-of-town dates.

At The Pageant, the nearly three hour production will focus on the Gilmore/Waters era of Pink Floyd, featuring songs off of the albums: “Meddle,” “Dark Side of the Moon,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Animals,” and “The Wall.”

The band spares no expense to create a visual and audio experience to compliment the depth of the music of Pink Floyd.  El Monstero hires the most premiere sound, lighting, visual, wardrobe and set designers in the St. Louis area.  Fans can always expect a new show from year to year with special guest stars.

St. Louis music critics agree this show is a spectacle to behold.  Dan Durchholz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch calls the show “Pure magic.”  Justin Boyd from Insidestl.com raved, “There is a reason why people keep coming back and this thing just seems to be bigger and better with each incarnation. St. Louis is lucky to have El Monstero as a holiday tradition, you should definitely put it on your calendar!” And Riverfront Times music critic Bob McMahon wrote, “The show illustrated not only Pink Floyd's enduring legacy but also what a deep reservoir of talent there is in our local music scene. The result was a heartfelt tribute that should have left Floyd fans of any stripe happy.”
