THE AVETT BROTHERS to Debut "February Seven" Music Video on VEVO and CMT

ON TOUR THIS SPRING

NEW YORK,  --  THE AVETT BROTHERS premiered their brand new music video for "February Seven" on CMT Wednesday March 6, 2013.
The 24-hour exclusive CMT premiere encompassed television channels CMT and CMT Pure as well as online properties CMT.com, CMTedge.com, and VH1.com. The second single from their Grammy Award-nominated 2012 offering, The Carpenter [American Recordings/Republic Records], has been impacting radio since the start of the year, and it remains a staple of their live set. The group has been on tour steadily since February as well. The video moved to VEVO today.
The clip captures the song's plaintive and poetic soul, telling an engaging story supported by elegant acoustic fingerpicking and vivid lyrics. It's another unforgettable tale from the North Carolina folk rock stalwarts, and it draws listeners deep into the world of The Carpenter .

The Carpenter  is the first album to be released under the partnership between Rick Rubin's legendary American Recordings and Republic Records. The unanimously lauded band's latest album debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200, giving them their highest debut yet. Rolling StonePeople USA Today, and American Songwriter have sung the record's praises.

People called The Carpenter "an album that achieves rootsy bliss," USA Today wrote, "They've constructed a near masterpiece," Entertainment Weekly wrote, "The North Carolina siblings deliver another gorgeously crafted set of sad and soulful laments with acoustic guitars, sharply punctuated piano, and delicate cello," and the Huffington Post said, "They dig deeper than ever on an album that's at turns somber, achingly beautiful, and fully aware of the perils of life."
THE AVETT BROTHERS performed on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!" twice in a few months' time. The second time on Kimmel they were backed by the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra for a heartfelt tribute to Brooklyn with the title track from their 2009 album "I and Love and You", personally requested by the show's host.
Over the years, the band has also become a live favorite amongst fans. The New York Post said, "This North Carolina bluegrass-pop sibling act is like Mumford & Sons with actual mountain credibility", while Billboard added how "Scott and Seth Avett harmonize brightly over a rollicking honky-tonk groove." These dates will undoubtedly continue that tradition on an even grander scale.
