Dru Hill was formed in 1995 by high school friends Jazz, Sisqo, Nokio and Woody.  Hailing from Baltimore, Dru Hill released their self-titled debut album in 1996 which went platinum and featured two No. 1 Billboard R&B singles “In My Bed” and “Never Make a Promise.”  Their sophomore effort Enter the Dru yielded another No. 1 R&B single “How Deep is Your Love.”  Despite Sisqo’s solo success with “The Thong Song,” Dru Hill remained intact with their latest release “InDRUpendence Day” in 2010.

Brothers Dwayne and Raphael Wiggins and cousin Timothy Christian formed Tony! Toni! Tone! in the late 80’s.  The Oakland trio scored a No. 1 R&B single right of out the box with “Little Walter” from their debut album Who? in 1988.  With their second studio album The Revival, Tony! Toni! Tone! landed four more singles on the Billboard R&B charts with “The Blues,” “Feels Good,” “It Never Rains in Southern California” and “Whatever You Want.”  While maintaining their soul and funk traditions, Tony! Toni! Tone! reached their most mainstream success in 1993 with their top 10 Billboard songs “If I Had No Loot” and “Anniversary.”

Led by Teddy Riley, R&B trio Guy was one of the first groups to introduce the new jack swing sound in the mid to late 80’s.  Guy enjoyed instant success, as their self-titled debut album sold over three million records worldwide with the hits “I Like,” “Groove Me” and “Teddy’s Jam.”  Guy’s only No. 1 R&B single “My Fantasy” came from the soundtrack to Do the Right Thing, and their second album The Future was another platinum effort.

Female trio Sisters with Voices (SWV) grew up singing in church which is where they learned to harmonize together.  One of their demo tapes caught the attention of Teddy Riley of Guy, who helped them release their first album.  Their debut It’s About Time sold over three million albums, featured a No. 1 Billboard track “Weak,” and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.  In April, SWV released I Missed Us which was their first studio album release in 15 years.

One of new jack swing’s most popular romantic singers, Al B Sure released five No. 1 R&B singles throughout his career including “Nite and Day,” “Misunderstanding” and “Right Now.”  His latest release was the 2009 album Honey I’m Home.
