INAUGURAL AARON LEWIS INVITATIONAL
CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES OVER $150,000
FOR R.H. CONWELL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

NASHVILLE, TN (August 21, 2012) – The inaugural Aaron Lewis Invitational Charity Golf Tournament held Saturday, August 11 at the Crumpin-Fox Golf Club in Bernardson, MA, was a huge success. Through over 50 event sponsors such as Blaster Entertainment, Zeke’s Smokehouse Grill and The Sandri Company, Lewis and his wife Vanessa’s charitable organization, It Takes a Community Foundation (501c3), was able to raise over $150,000 for the R.H. Conwell Community Education Center in Worthington, MA and ensure the center will be able to continue to keep its doors open for the area’s children. It Takes a Community Foundation has additional charity events planned for later this year.

About R.H. Conwell Community Education Center:
R.H. Conwell Community Education Center (501c3 non-profit private school) endeavors to be responsive to the needs of the community.  “No Worthington child will be turned away for financial reasons” is another key component of the philosophy at Conwell. It is a core belief at Conwell that families with limited resources should not be excluded from receiving their education and learning in a local school setting. Children who emerge from Conwell will possess the knowledge, skills, and principles to be self-motivated, life-long learners. The children will have received instruction in curriculum following the Massachusetts frameworks and will easily enter private or public school with not only the skills and knowledge expected of them, but we are convinced they will have developed real thoughtfulness about the world around them.  Family and community involvement, character development, social and emotional health, fitness and wellness, and an awareness of the environment are as core components of our vision at Conwell.
