Regaled as the most influential bassist since Jaco Pastorius, Victor is known for his solo recordings and tours, and as a member of the Grammy-winning supergroup, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones. He is an innovator on the bass guitar, as well as a talented composer, arranger, producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. Continuing the tradition of virtuosity forged by James Brown, Funkadelic and Prince Vic returns to the road in 2010 with his nonstop acrobatic 21st century family of funketeers, The Victor Wooten Band. Featuring his brother Regi “The Teacha” Wooten on guitar, his brother Joseph Wooten (Steve Miller Band) on keys and Derico Watson on drums, the band will be performing songs from Victor’s solo CD’s as well as some of greatest soul and funk hits.

Beginning as a drummer in the seminal 60’s San Francisco rock band The Charlatans, and continuing with the unique and legendary Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks, Dan Hicks is widely acknowledged as one of the central defining figures in American roots music. Hicks has earned a reputation as a true original with his signature eclecticism and humor. He continues to carve his own way through a number of genres from proto-psychedelia to western swing and jazz; from Tin Pan Alley to country blues, while always cultivating his own unique sound.
