Nashville, Tennessee (August 8, 2011) – Exactly two years ago today, a soulful Meghan Linsey and rockstar Joshua Scott Jones’ life changed after winning CMT’s Can You Duet and signing a record deal with Big Machine Records. The real-life couple, more widely known as Steel Magnolia, wowed a panel of industry judges and earned fans across the nation along the way with their fresh sound intermingling distinct voices and unbridled chemistry. As a “thank you” to their supporters, the duo is revealing exclusive moments from their journey in a special video, hosted now at both SteelMagnoliaMusic.com and BigMachineRecords.com.

“It’s amazing to us how much we’ve grown as a couple and as musicians throughout the past two years. We are so grateful for the opportunities CMT, Scott Borchetta and our fans have given us,” said Linsey. “What better way to celebrate than give fans an intimate look at what life has been like on the road! We hope they’ll see how much we cherish this gift and enjoy entertaining,” continued Jones.

Steel Magnolia released their first self-titled album on January 11, 2011 to critical acclaim with hits such as “Just By Being You (Halo and Wings)” and “Last Night Again” as well as “Keep On Lovin’ You,” which climbed into the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Songs chart and became the fastest-rising single by a male/female duo in Country music history. Since their national debut, they have garnered over a dozen industry nominations, including CMA, ACM, ACA, CMT and most recently a Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice Music: Country Group.

The duo has been profiled in such outlets as USA Today, Associated Press, Billboard, People, Country Weekly and The Huffington Post. Their National TV appearances include The Late Show with David Letterman, Lopez Tonight, CBS Early Show and Better TV as well as a performance on the 2010 CMT Music Awards.

Just a few weeks ago, Steel Magnolia gave fans a preview of the current single, “Bulletproof,” on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! Linsey takes the lead on this sassy anthem about a woman’s resiliency written by hit songwriters Lori McKenna and Chris Tompkins. The unique, up-tempo tune from Steel Magnolia’s critically acclaimed debut album officially impacts radio on August 22.

In the midst of their own show dates this summer, Steel Magnolia received the news that they were chosen to be tour openers for Reba’s fall tour, beginning in October. Linsey and Jones have previously toured with Brad Paisley, Bob Seger, Blake Shelton and a host of Country icons each time they take the stage at the Grand Ole Opry.
